Popkomm has ended

Tove is not your everyday IDOL related pop star. The young woman from Umeå in the North of Sweden was only 15 when she participated in the 2009 edition of the popular TV competition. There was a special aura around her from the very start. She had talent, she had spunk - she just had "it". Moreover she had the attitude and style that made her stick out from the rest of contenders - perhaps she was even a little bit "too cutting edge" to win the entire competition - but that didn't stop her from getting signed the second she was cut from the competition (she came in third place).

The process of putting together her first album started soon thereafter. She had some of Sweden's top producers (Patrik Berger, Janne Kask, Peter Ågren) all wanting to contribute and even top recording artists like Lykke Li, Adam Olenius (from Shout Out Louds), Jonna Li also helped writing material for her. Her self named solo debut came the year after and has been since its release one of Sweden's most popular albums.

The track "White Light Moment" become one the biggest singles of the year and Tove won best newcomer of the year at the prestigious Swedish National Radio Awards - P3 Gold in 2011. Follow up single "High And Low" was equally a huge smash and the accompanying video further helped establish her as an act to watch closely in the coming year.
